Why Lubron SL?
Robust. Self-Lubricating. Built to Last.
Lubron SL bearings combine high-strength bronze alloys with permanently embedded solid graphite lubricants to deliver maintenance-free performance in demanding industrial and structural applications. Designed for high loads, extreme temperatures, and long service life, Lubron SL bearings provide reliable low-friction operation where conventional lubrication is impractical.
Key Features
-
Engineered to support bearing pressures up to 8,000 psi, Lubron SL bearings utilize high-strength bronze and Meehanite alloys that provide exceptional structural rigidity, shock resistance, and durability under heavy static and dynamic loads.
-
Solid graphite lubricants are permanently embedded within the bearing material, continuously replenishing the sliding surface during operation and eliminating the need for routine oil or grease lubrication.
-
Designed for long service life in inaccessible and demanding applications, Lubron SL bearings reduce maintenance requirements, minimize downtime, and lower lifecycle costs.
-
The combination of premium bearing alloys and solid lubricants creates a durable, low-friction bearing surface that resists wear, galling, and surface damage under demanding operating conditions.
-
Available with lubricant systems suitable for temperatures ranging from -350°F to 2000°F (-212°C to 1093°C), making Lubron SL ideal for both cryogenic and high-temperature applications.
-
Offered in a wide variety of aluminum bronze, manganese bronze, nickel aluminum bronze, tin bronze, and Meehanite alloys, allowing each bearing to be optimized for load, environment, corrosion resistance, and operating temperature.
-
Specialized bronze alloys and graphite-based lubricants provide excellent resistance to moisture, chemicals, and harsh industrial environments where conventional lubrication may fail.
-
Trusted across infrastructure, hydropower, heavy equipment, power generation, and industrial applications, Lubron SL bearings deliver reliable performance and extended service life in the world's most demanding operating environments.
Installation:
LUBRON SL bearings are supplied fully machined and ready for installation. Bushings are typically press-fit or chill-fit into the housing using a controlled interference fit. Because installation slightly reduces the bearing inside diameter, proper clearances are incorporated into the design to ensure optimum running performance. Care should be taken to protect lubricated surfaces and maintain proper alignment during installation.
