Lubron® HX:
USACE-Approved for Failure-Critical Water Control Applications.

Lubron HX bearings are engineered specifically for critical hydraulic structures where reliability, wear resistance, and maintenance-free performance are essential. Featuring a proprietary machinable liner system containing a homogeneous blend of solid lubricants bonded to corrosion-resistant bearing materials, Lubron HX bearings are designed for long-term submersion and operation in harsh water environments.

Tested in accordance with USACE CERL Technical Report 99/104, Lubron HX exceeded required performance criteria in both wet and dry testing, demonstrating exceptional wear resistance, dependable low-friction operation, and long service life without supplemental lubrication.

Applications: Hydroelectric Facilities • Locks & Dams • Navigation Structures • Water Control Gates • Marine Infrastructure • Critical Bearing Assemblies

Why Lubron HX?

USACE Approved. Engineered for Hydropower. Low Friction Performance.

Designed for the most demanding water-control and hydroelectric applications, Lubron HX combines proprietary solid lubricant technology with corrosion-resistant bearing materials to achieve exceptional performance under high loads, long dwell periods, and submerged operating conditions.

Unlike conventional lubricated systems, Lubron HX requires no grease or oil maintenance, making it ideal for critical infrastructure where access is difficult and reliability is paramount.

Key Features

Lubron HX Specialty Bearings

Features:

LUBRON HX bearings were independently tested at Powertech Labs in accordance with USACE CERL TR 99/104 requirements and exceeded performance standards in both wet and dry test programs. Under long-term continuous operation, HX bearings exhibited nearly zero measurable wear at loads up to 4,300 psi, while maintaining the capability to withstand short-term loads up to 8,000 psi, making them ideal for failure-critical water control applications.

Types of Applications:

  • Miter Gate Pintle Bearing Assemblies (Ball & Socket)

  • Miter Gate Linkage Spherical Plain Bearings & Bushings (shown below)

  • Vertical Lift Gate Roller Wheel Assemblies

  • Floating Mooring Bitt Bushings

  • Wicket Gate Stem Bushings

  • Wicket Gate Linkage Bushings
