Lubron® AQ:
Engineered for Immersed & Water Control Applications.

Lubron AQ self-lubricating bearings are specifically designed for hydroelectric, marine, offshore, and water control applications where continuous exposure to water, high loads, and limited maintenance access demand exceptional reliability. Manufactured from corrosion-resistant bronze alloys and permanently embedded PTFE solid lubricants, Lubron AQ bearings deliver maintenance-free performance in both submerged and dry operating environments.

Developed to withstand long periods of immersion, high water velocities, shock loading, and corrosive environments, Lubron AQ bearings provide dependable low-friction operation and extended service life without the need for oil or grease lubrication.

Why Lubron AQ?

Corrosion Resistant. Water Proven. Maintenance Free.

Lubron AQ bearings combine the low friction properties of PTFE with the strength and rigidity of high-performance bronze alloys to create a bearing system specifically engineered for underwater service. Proprietary solid lubricant technology provides continuous lubrication independent of external grease or oil systems, making Lubron AQ ideal for dam gates, water control structures, and marine equipment.

Unlike graphite-based lubricants that can promote galvanic corrosion in submerged applications, Lubron AQ utilizes specially formulated graphite-free PTFE lubricants developed for long-term immersion and severe water service.

Key Features

A black and silver industrial bearing.

Installation:

Lubron AQ bearings are supplied fully machined and ready for installation. Bearings are typically installed using a controlled press fit, with the outside diameter slightly larger than the housing bore to create the required interference fit. Proper running clearances are incorporated into the bearing design to compensate for dimensional changes during installation and ensure optimum performance, alignment, and long-term service life in wet and dry environments.
